Anyone remember Lookout for Outlook? It was quite possibly the best software ever created for searching through emails in Outlook. Like other good things, it came to end with the release of Outlook 2003...Microsoft decided to include their own search tool, built right into Outlook for our convenience...Pretty convenient right? No. No it wasn't...It was a disaster. Simple searches took WAY too long, and rarely even found what you were looking for. To top it all off, Lookout was no longer supported. There was fixes and work arounds but the average user, I guess this was the untimely end of properly searching through emails..........Well, not if Lookeen, a Germany based software company, had anything to do with it...

Lookeen is a top notch email search plugin for Microsoft Outlook. It's incredibly fast, it's friendly and it does more than you think (and for a pretty fair price too: $39.99). Lookeen indexes all your emails in the background after install and will almost instantly bring up anything you're looking for. You can even filter out emails to only show one's with attachments.

Lookeen can also be used just to view your current or weekly emails. If you're not a big fan of the options Outlook comes with, Lookeen offers a variety of new ways to organize incoming and outgoing emails. Notably, Lookeen provides a whole new way to filter emails by day, week or month. Overall, Lookeen proved to be an even better solution than the long-forgotten Lookout. I can't rave enough about this product, go check them out and it will definately save you tons of time searching for burried emails!
